The Department of War suspended CMMC Phase 2: third-party assessment deadlines and every pending milestone are on hold while a 60-day task force reviews the program. What was never suspended: annual self-assessments, SPRS score postings, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS incident-reporting clauses, and the rule that an attestation has to be true. The audit is paused. The hygiene it was going to measure is not.
Your programs are still the exposure. On defense work, CNC programs and their setup documentation are technical data and can be CUI. Uncontrolled copies on thumb drives and shared folders are what any assessment (third-party, government-led, or self) is built to find.
